Fund and Product Operations Associate

We’re recruiting for a Fund and Product Operations Associate to join our LGIM division with Real Assets. 

The Fund and Product Operations Associate is tasked with aiding the Fund and Product Operations Lead in the operational planning and execution of new funds and products within the Real Assets sector. This individual will ensure that new funds and products are set up and managed effectively, aligning with the target operating model, and emphasizing scalability, efficiency, and control measures to foster the growth of Legal & General's Private Markets division. Collaboration with Change colleagues within LGIM GCOO is essential for the on-time launch of new funds and products, guaranteeing a uniform approach and the adoption of best practices in operational design. The ideal candidate will be proactive, capable of working in concert with various internal and external stakeholders on a broad spectrum of issues.

What you'll be doing:

• Assist the Fund and Product Operations Lead, along with the Product, Solutions, and Real Assets Strategy team, in achieving growth objectives for Real Assets and Private Markets. This includes aiding in the design and execution of scalable and efficient operating models for new funds and products, meeting all stakeholder requirements, and managing essential relationships throughout the process
• Consider the impact of regulatory, tax and other market developments on both existing and new products
• Ensure that relevant governance and agreements, such as process documents and legal and service level agreements with outsourced service providers, are updated where necessary to reflect changes to operating models
• Regularly evaluate the suitability of the target operating model, collaborating with the Change team to enact updated and enhanced procedures, processes, and systems as necessary, consistent with industry-leading practices. Engage with the investment and risk teams, as well as other stakeholders, to comprehend their requirements, risks, and best practices, ensuring they are adequately incorporated
• Ensure implementation of governance procedures, taking into account local regulations and advice received
• Assist with the coordination and smooth running of launch board meetings
• Assistance is required for the onboarding of new third-party service providers at LGIM. This involves providing details on financial processes, invoicing procedures, and other operational necessities to guarantee that all essential contracts, certifications, and compliance forms are accurately filled out by the new third-party service providers
• Drive the production of service level agreements with new service providers and establish suitable KPIs to enable ongoing monitoring of service levels

Who we're looking for:

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA (or similar)
• Some technical and operational knowledge/ experience relevant to the role required eg open or closed ended investment fund experience, experience of relevant corporate governance structures
• Experience of operations and finance in alternative / real asset investment funds and products across Europe; Luxembourg specific experience beneficial 
• Resourceful with highly developed problem-solving skills and ability to provide solutions to issues that arise
