This role offers a unique opportunity to work within an established FTSE100 business in a growing division seeking to attract new global, long-term partners. You will work for the Group’s alternative asset origination platform, alongside an experienced, dynamic and highly driven Marketing and Communications team across a range of sectors.
Legal & General Capital (LGC) was created in 2013 to invest Legal & General Group’s capital into key sectors of the economy which need investment and innovation across a breadth of investment areas, namely specialist commercial real estate, clean energy, venture capital, residential property, GP investing and digital infrastructure. In this generalist marketing role, you will be supporting the senior members of the team, working alongside the partnership and investment teams to attract new partners and opportunities.

This is a role for an ambitious and creative individual who is comfortable in a growth business. You’ll need strong organisation and stakeholder management skills. You will need to bring a combined ability to act autonomously to problem solve and think creatively, whilst also being an excellent team player.
This role is predominantly UK focussed, however there will be opportunities to support and deliver marketing campaigns in line with LGC’s internationalisation efforts.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing, developing and delivering integrated marketing initiatives targeting institutional co-investment partners (insurance, banking, public funds, corporate pensions, real estate and private equity).
- Supporting the partnership team by managing the production of engaging sales enablement
- Creating strong case studies focussed on our six core alternatives sectors and our approach
- Working across the full marketing mix, you will be responsible for managing agencies and bringing together channel specialists to deliver effective marketing programmes.
- Drawing on data and insights to set KPIs to measure the success or failure of a campaign. This includes monitoring sector and market trends to support driving successful outcomes for the business.
- Liaising and building relationships with senior internal stakeholders, teams and our subsidiary businesses to ensure marketing effectiveness and alignment. Where appropriate you will be working collaboratively with wider marketing and communications team on omni-channel campaigns.
- Ensuring all marketing collateral and communications are in line with Legal & General’s brand and tone of voice guidelines.
- Acting in accordance with the company’s policy around Treating Customers Fairly (TCF). Ensuring that all Marketing and Communications accurately portray our business strategy, initiatives and offerings and provide sound and competent advice where required.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience planning and executing B2B omni-channel campaign plans, demonstrating innovation and commercial awareness.
- Experience in the financial or professional services marketing, or marketing in a consultancy
- Experience in alternatives or the private markets industry is desirable.
- Confident communicator and relationship builder across all levels of stakeholder seniority.
- Experience of monitoring marketing budgets and invoice management.
- Experience using marketing technologies including CMS platforms, Adobe design suite, email marketing systems and analytics tools.
- A self-starter with strong attention to detail and outstanding communication skills, including ability to express and simplify complex issues succinctly and clearly.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in tandem.
- Awareness of the regulations and legislation governing the financial services industry.
- An independent thinker with the ability to challenge in an appropriate manner.
