We’re recruiting for a Surveying Operations Director to join us. We’re offering a competitive base salary and car allowance.

L&G are seeking a dedicated and strategic leader to drive our operational and surveying activities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our services, ensuring excellence and innovation in everything we do.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading the strategic direction, leadership, and development of operational and surveying activities
• Exploring how data and AI can enhance surveying practices
• Managing key internal and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships
• Reviewing and assessing resourcing requirements to deliver operational and surveying activities
• Collaborating with the Technical & Risk team to ensure high-quality delivery of products and propositions
• Representing the company at industry meetings, developing key contacts
• Ensuring compliance with Red Book regulations across the team
• Contributing to the wider leadership of the organisation as a member of the LGSS board

Who we're looking for:

• Proven experience in strategy, leadership, and operational management
• Strong knowledge of the mortgage industry, survey and valuation products, and RICS regulation; you must be RICS qualified
• Data curious and genuinely inquisitive and excited about the future of surveying
• Experience of working as a surveyor or in a lender risk team
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams
• Effective communicator at all levels, with strong influencing skills
• Demonstrable track record of delivering commercial activity and projects
• Commitment to delivering good customer outcomes and maintaining high standards of business ethics
