The role at a glance:
Can you write great content? Are you creative, with a high level of intellectual curiosity? If yes, then we'd love you to join our team. We're looking for an Internal Communications Executive to help take our Employee Communications to the next level.
You will implement and shape LGIM’s integrated internal communications strategy, which aims to inform, connect and inspire people across the company. Bringing to life our culture, people, brand and DE&I activity through campaigns and events, you will also be involved in evaluation as well as execution – tracking the success of internal communications activities and exploring best practice
You'll need to be a confident writer and editor, interested in executing and cascading engaging, timely communications to different audiences across LGIM, to generate the greatest impact.
What you'll be doing:
Internal communications: Drafting, editing and supporting internal communications to update staff on the company’s strategy, activities and plans, building trust and confidence in LGIM.
Stakeholder management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key business stakeholders and employee networks, ensuring a visible flow of activities and timings.
Strong writing / editorial skills: Harness the power of narrative through different media – including email, blogs and video – to inform, connect and inspire employees.
Email building and distribution: Building, designing and distributing engaging and impactful emails via Pardot.
Intranet management: Making the company’s intranet site a central hub for LGIM’s internal communications and source for dialogue and conversation.
Events: Supporting the Internal Comms team in organising and executing events with both internal and external stakeholders.
Team relationships: Working closely with colleagues in the Marketing department and across the Chief of Staff division, in addition to other key stakeholders across the business.
Best practice: Ensuring communications are compliant and timely, while seeking ways to enhance the team’s overall output.
Commercial awareness: Developing a keen understanding of LGIM’s business units, products and solutions, while staying abreast of industry trends.
Measurement: Developing and monitoring reach, engagement and success metrics, feeding the results into internal communications strategy.
You will have an Undergraduate degree and be proficient in Microsoft Office suite – word, powerpoint, excel and outlook.
Detail-orientated and a creative thinker, you'll have previously worked in a communications, content or journalism role and be able to implement communications activities, particularly high-quality events, for a large organisation.
It goes without saying you'll have exceptional writing and editing skills and an ability to develop messages for a variety of audiences. This will be combined with strong organisational skills, excellent planning and logistics management and outstanding interpersonal skills, in order to work closely with teams and individuals at all levels of an organisation in developing and delivering communications aligned with business priorities.
You'll be able to build strong connections and relationships across the organisation to ensure connectivity and co-ordination across all communications plans and activities. Be keen to take ownership of agreed communications activities and deliver against objectives and able to work in a high-pressure environment and remain composed in the face of multiple projects and tight deadlines.
