Job Description

We are seeking dynamic and experienced HR Business Partners in various roles across our divisions. The role will work in partnership with the wider HR Function in the design and delivery of people solutions to drive a consistent and cohesive culture and optimise organisational effectiveness. This role requires a deep understanding of HR practices, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organisation.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Provide guidance and cost-effective HR solutions to the business on employee engagement, re-organisations, talent and succession management and planning, people data management, learning & development, performance management and resource planning.  Applying a D&I lens to all activity with a focus on cultivating a high-performance culture
    • Support the annual cycle of people activity, including pay review; performance calibration and employee Voice Survey to drive business and people performance
    • Work in partnership with the Senior HRBPs and HRD to identify, analyse and interpret people related MI for the purpose of influencing business plans and effectively implementing the right business solutions
    • With the support of the Reward team, support the Senior HRBP in developing and implementing appropriate reward strategies for the relevant business areas, including managing the out of cycle promotions/increases process and sign off, to ensure we remain competitive in the marketplace
    • Ensure the Employee Relations climate is understood within the business area and work closely with Unite, ER team, local reps and managers to champion and demonstrate working in partnership and its benefits
    • Work pro-actively and collaboratively with the other HR teams on team projects. This may include engaging with business partners/joint ventures so that synergies are sought, and to ensure a “joined up” approach to ensure effective oversight of HR risk and practices
    • Ensure all relevant job descriptions have appropriate “Consumer Duty” accountabilities
    • Design and implement appropriate performance management and reward mechanisms, ensuring that treating customers fairly is an equal factor in all pay and bonus decisions

    Qualifications

    Who we're looking for:

    • Essential experience in and understanding of employment law, generic HR policies and procedures
    • Understanding of Reward and People Development methodologies and current best practice. Exposure to the people aspects of mergers and acquisition, including TUPE
    • Experience of leading organisational change with a focus on talent management, organisation design and culture change
    • Experience of providing effective HR partnership to support the business with an awareness of the different challenges that are faced
    • Capability to source, gather, analyse and interpret business-focused HR data to enable effective decision making
    • CIPD qualification preferred or equivalent demonstrable experience
