Business Architect

Helping over ten million people around the world manage their savings, retirement plans and life insurance requires a lot of people behind-the-scenes. We are looking for a talented Business Architect who will support in the structuring of the enterprise in terms of its governance structure, business processes, and business information by aligning strategic goals and objectives with decisions regarding products and services; partners and suppliers; organisation; capabilities; and key business and IT initiatives.

The primary focus is the business motivations, business operations and business analysis frameworks and related networks that link these aspects of the enterprise together.

The Business Architect works to develop an integrated view of the enterprise using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques.

What you'll be doing

• Structuring enterprise in terms of governance, business process and business information in line with business strategy and with a view of continuous improvement.
• Ensuring all decisions regarding products and services are aligned to strategic goals and objectives.
• Appling a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the enterprise ensuring this aligns to company goals.
• Describing the primary business functions of the enterprise to ensure decisions are appropriate in line with company goals.
• Defining the set of strategic, core and support processes that transcend functional and organisational boundaries. Ensure these are recorded accurately and communicated to relevant parties.
• Capturing the relationships among roles, capabilities and business units and subunits to ensure they are aligned and meet company strategy and requirements.
• Ensuring approach to and work delivered supports L&G’s Consumer duty Commitments to ensure the right outcome and excellent service delivery.

• Business architecture or Business Analysis preferred or equivalent experience
• Investment Management front to back functional awareness; Business process and technical knowledge
• Business and IT strategy experience; Business architecture experience; Experience applying architectural principles to business solutions; Experience using model-based representations, strong situational analysis and decision making abilities
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation;
