Our Institutional Retirement division provides pension risk transfer (PRT) solutions for UK and US defined benefit (DB) schemes, and reinsurance solutions from our global hub in Bermuda. We work with companies, DB pension schemes and their advisors to help them secure and protect scheme members’ retirement benefits.
Joining us means you’ll support customers’ financial security in retirement; help companies to settle their pension liabilities and focus on growing their businesses; and enable investment for the long term to back our pension promises.
We’re recruiting for a Risk and Resilience Senior Analyst to join us. In this role, you will provide oversight on behalf of the Governance, Risk and Controls Team to ensure Institutional Retirement compliance with Group Policies and the consistent application of the Group Risk Framework. Specific focus will be risk management, oversight, and reporting of IT, Operational and Regulatory Change, to help optimise the management of risks and enable consistent reporting to the Institutional Retirement senior leadership teams.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting IT, Business and Regulatory change led by the COO team and responsible for embedding appropriate and proportionate systems and controls to effectively manage the transition from project to BAU activity
- Undertaking analysis and provide consistency in documentation, reporting and information collation from various MI Data points and preparing presentations for various forums and meetings to drive actions and improvements and support decision making
- Overseeing and reporting change management risks to demonstrate 1st Line of Defence compliance with Group Policies
- Working with Institutional Retirement to review and embed control enhancements to meet regulatory and/or Group requirements
- Supporting GDPR reviews, data breaches, subject access requests, deletions and additional requests in relation to personal data
- Supporting with component testing and tracking, revalidations of business service inventories, stress testing tracking, outcome monitoring and manual workarounds
- Attending Governance meetings to review compliance and provide guidance on Group Policy requirements to operational and change teams
- Ensuring good conduct and treating customers fairly is central to decisions and actions taken
Who we're looking for:
- Regulated Industry background preference
- Risk or Governance and Data analysis experience with track record of effective execution and experience of shaping and analysing opportunities to derive conclusions.
- Track record of building effective relationships to enable execution of analysis tasks and delivery plans.
- Experience of analysing opportunities to support risk planning for delivery of large, complex initiatives and proven background in adapting to trends and openness to new ideas.
- Ensuring innovation activities and outcomes build confidence across all levels with technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail and demonstrated ability to work independently focusing on priorities, and managing a range of tasks, deadlines, requirements, and decisions
- Effective at making good decisions and delivering great outcomes in in line with COO governance and risk plans and collaborative worker who freely shares their knowledge and experience
- Good interpersonal and influencing skills, ability to engage across various internal and external businesses and support functions to develop, get buy-in and deliver approaches across the innovation area and wider COO and Institutional Retirement teams
