We’re currently looking to hire a Junior Fixed Income Trader to join Legal and General Investment Management (LGIM)

Working within a dynamic multi-asset Trading team, Trading a wide range of fixed income products including Corporate Bonds (Focus on High Yield), Derivatives and general rates products in compliance with client, legal and regulatory requirements

What you'll be doing 

• Undertaking market-related research including up-to-date knowledge of all relevant technical, regulatory and compliance issues
• Analysing market data in order to develop a trading strategy and optimise counterparty selection
• Monitoring trades to ensure “best execution” at all times, and timely settlement of all trades.
• Research, implementation and analysis of Transaction Cost Analysis
• Responsibility for Primary markets activity, orders and allocations
• Assist with ongoing IT projects & developments incorporating spreadsheet development and macros, system upgrades and system implementation
• Work with our Trading Research team to analyse, process and interpret large trading data sets to improve client outcomes
• Responsibility for collating and producing both regular and ad hoc desk management information.

• You’ll have a strong academic background with a qualification such as CFA/IMC
• Demonstrate a general understanding of financial markets and some knowledge of Fixed Income products
• You’ll have experience within a Financial Institution, entry level trading or from a middle office operations background would be ideal
• We are looking for a enthusiastic, proven self-starter with strong willingness to develop trading skills across asset classes
