Our expertise extends to reinsurance solutions, supported by a global hub in Bermuda.

Pension careers at L&G

Defined Benefit Consultant 

Defined Benefit (DB) Consultants at L&G play a critical role in helping pension schemes manage their liabilities and risks. 

You’ll work closely with clients, offering expert advice on the most effective pension risk transfer (PRT) solutions, ensuring their defined benefit schemes meet regulatory standards and stay financially secure. 

You will analyse scheme data, model various financial scenarios, and provide tailored recommendations to trustees and scheme sponsors. 

The right fit for this role would be someone with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of Defined Benefit pension schemes, and the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and actionable way to clients. 

Defined Contribution Consultant

In addition to Defined Benefit careers, Legal & General also offers opportunities in Defined Contribution (DC) pensions. 

DC careers involve helping individuals manage their personal pension investments, ensuring they have the tools, resources, and advice they need to secure a comfortable retirement. 

From designing workplace pension plans to offering guidance on investment strategies, DC roles are focused on empowering individuals to take control of their financial futures.

Pensions Calculation Consultant 

As a Pensions Calculation Consultant, your role involves ensuring the accurate calculation of pensions data, including scheme benefits, contributions, and liabilities. 

You’ll work closely with the actuarial and administration teams, translating complex pension calculations into understandable insights for clients and stakeholders. 

This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent numerical skills, an understanding of Defined Benefit pension scheme rules, and experience working with actuarial models and systems. 

Senior Transition Consultant

Senior Transition Consultant focus on the management of pension scheme transfers, providing expertise during the process of transitioning pension schemes between providers or from one structure to another. 

This involves coordinating across various departments, managing timelines, and ensuring that the transition is smooth, compliant, and transparent for clients. 

The right candidate for this role would have experience in project management and Defined Benefit pensions, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead and communicate effectively across multiple teams. If you enjoy working on large-scale projects with multiple moving parts and stakeholders, this role would be an excellent fit.

Actuarial Manager

Actuarial Managers at L&G lead a team of actuaries and pension consultants, overseeing the analysis of pension schemes and ensuring that clients receive accurate, insightful, and actionable advice regarding pension liabilities and risks. 

This role includes managing actuarial valuations, producing reports, and advising clients on risk management strategies. 

The ideal candidate would have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of actuarial principles, and experience in managing pension scheme risk.
